Family Portfolio
What it does
The Family Portfolio lets you track bond holdings for multiple family members under a single account. Each member has their own holding set — separate face values, purchase prices, and purchase dates — while the Family Portfolio view aggregates everything into a combined household total.
This is useful when you manage bonds for a spouse, children, or elderly parents, and want one place to see the household's total bond exposure, combined coupon income, and upcoming maturity dates across all members.
When to use it
- You manage bond investments for more than one family member and want a consolidated household view.
- Planning which family member's bond matures next and coordinating reinvestment timing.
- Reviewing the household's total annual coupon income when preparing a family budget.
Household portfolio — three members, KES 5M combined
You manage bonds for yourself (KES 2M), your spouse (KES 2M), and your mother (KES 1M). The Family Portfolio shows a consolidated view of all holdings, upcoming coupons, and total household income — while keeping each member's holdings clearly labelled.

Limitations
- Family members are added manually — there is no link to other users' accounts. Holdings are labels within your own account, not separate user accounts.
- All family holdings are visible to the account holder. There is no per-member access control.
- The combined view uses the same Portfolio Tracker calculations — NSE market data quality limitations apply equally here.
